Terms of Engagement

Effective 1 July 2025

These terms govern the professional relationship between GMD Bookkeeping and its clients. By engaging our services, you agree to the following terms.

1.

GMD Bookkeeping provides BAS preparation and lodgement, payroll processing, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and related bookkeeping services to small and medium businesses in Cairns and surrounding areas.

2.

All services are provided by a registered BAS Agent (Registration #26194708) in accordance with the Tax Agent Services Act 2009. We maintain professional indemnity insurance and adhere to the Tax Practitioners Board Code of Professional Conduct.

3.

Fees are agreed upon prior to commencement of work and outlined in your individual engagement letter. Invoices are issued monthly and are payable within 14 days. Late payments may incur an administration fee.

4.

Clients are responsible for providing accurate, complete, and timely information. GMD Bookkeeping is not liable for errors or penalties arising from incomplete or incorrect information provided by the client.

5.

Either party may terminate the engagement with 30 days written notice. Upon termination, all outstanding fees become immediately payable and all client records will be returned or transferred as directed.
